My Work around Software

Software Development

AI-Customer-Support

Github: AI-Customer-Support

Built a responsive React AI chatbot using Google Gemini API with dynamic theming, local storage for preferences, Material-UI design, and server-side AI response generation.

Carls Chat

Github: Carls Chat

Flask-based platform supporting real-time chat, avatar customization, and location-based activities

Viking Rowing Minigame

Github: Viking Rowing Minigame

Built cross-platform VR simulations and a physics-based rowing mini-game in Unity for Meta Quest through optimized C# mechanics and historically accurate 3D assets.

AI FlashCards

Github: AI FlashCards

Built a dynamic Flashcard Generator app using the Google Gemini API, integrating Clerk for authentication and Stripe for subscription-based premium access.

Secure File Transfer Implementation

Github: Secure File Transfer

Built a secure client-server file transfer system using AES-GCM and RSA-AES hybrid encryption with safeguards against tampering, replay, and injection attacks.

Karger's Minimum Cut Algorithm

View Research Paper (PDF)

Analyzed and proved Karger's randomized min-cut algorithm, designing an amplified version with improved success probability via Monte Carlo techniques.

My work around Data + ML

Data + ML

House Model Prediction

Github: House Model Prediction
Deployed App: House Model Prediction App

Developed an interactive Shiny app to predict house prices using machine learning (Random Forest), spatial analysis, and dynamic visualizations.

Election Data Visualizer

Github: Election Data Visualizer

Built a web app with interactive visualizations of 2016 and 2020 election data using PostgreSQL, Python APIs, and JS/HTML/CSS, deployed on Carleton's remote server.

Racial Bias in Jury Selection

View Analysis (PDF)

Conducted logistic regression in R on 418 Mississippi trials to analyze racial bias in jury strikes, finding juror-defendant racial match a stronger predictor than defendant race via LRTs and AIC.

Powerlifting Performance Modeling

View Analysis (PDF)

Modeled deadlift and squat performance of 17,800+ lifters in R using log-log regression, revealing age-sex-bodyweight interactions via multivariate analysis, ANOVA F-tests, AIC, and residual diagnostics.

In my ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿต Strawberry matcha themed Product Portfolio ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿต, You'll see a mix of sweet design, bold ideas, and tech with purpose. I've brewed up projects like Carls Swap, a student item exchange app, and CampusConnect, making food access easier for international students. You'll also find a real-time chat app built with WebSockets, a travel journal for capturing trip memories, and a deep dive into urban life in Singapore. Lately, I'm mixing in some fun with AI puzzle games that teach digital literacy, because learning should be just as delightful as a strawberry matcha.

About Me

Who Am I?

Download Kritika's Resume

I'm a senior at Carleton College, double majoring in Computer Science and Statistics, and proudly from the mountains of Nepal. I build human-centered tech, from VR learning tools to edtech platforms, with a focus on impact, inclusion, and great UX.

I'm driven by the belief that technology should be human-centered, ethical, and inclusive. Whether it's optimizing learning tools at an edtech startup, building immersive VR simulations, or enhancing AI platforms for student success, I enjoy crafting solutions that make people's lives a little better, and a lot more intuitive. My friends say I'm both fiercely independent and deeply collaborative. At SayKid, for example, I combined product strategy, backend automation, and user research to improve engagement by over 25%, while learning the value of adaptability in fast-moving environments.

Outside of work, I love making drinks, coffee, matcha, and especially strawberry matcha, which is my favorite! So much so that I designed my entire Product Portfolio around this theme. I'm also a compulsive traveler and planner. Studying abroad in Budapest gave me the chance to explore 12+ countries in six months, navigating logistics, budgeting, and unexpected detours along the way. That love for exploration inspired me to co-build a travel journal app that helps others track itineraries, expenses, and meaningful moments. Whether through travel or tech, I love learning how people live, what they need, and how we can design better systems to support them.
